Kathleen "Kathy" L. O'Brien

Kathleen L. (Kathy) O’Brien, nee Werth, 71, was a caring wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend.

She passed away peacefully at her home in Alsip, surrounded by family and friends.

Kathy was a beloved wife of 43 years to Thomas G O’Brien.

Loving mother of Sharon (Brian Moloney) O’Brien.

Dear sister of Dennis (Nancy) Werth and Eric (Geri) Werth.

Caring aunt of Nicholas, Caroline, Eve and Fiona Werth, Peter III, Danielle Fitzpatrick and Caroline O’Brien.

Loving great-aunt of Finnegan and Blake Fitzpatrick.

Dearest lifelong friend to Cathy and Mike DeLaRosa.

Adoring friend of Ellen “Ella” Burke.

Kathy will be remembered for her kind, compassionate and fun nature, her love for her family and friends, her passion for nursing and her fondness for playing piano.

The family would like to thank Ellen “Ella” Burke for her exceptional care of Kathy over the past 2 ½ years and the love and compassion she showed.

Funeral Wednesday, August 7, 9:00 AM from Thompson & Kuenster Funeral Home, 5570 W 95th  St, Oak Lawn, to St. Catherine of Alexandria Church for Mass at 10:00 AM.

Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

Visitation Tuesday, August 6, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
