Kevin J. Kane
KEVIN JAMES KANE
3/22/99-3/22/23
Kevin Kane, age 24; beloved son of Shawn and Julie (Gieffers) Kane. Most cherished brother of Gerald, Cecilia, Joshua, and Ryan Kane. Treasured grandson of Marilyn and the late Gerald Kane and the late Ward and the late Patricia Gieffers. Adored nephew of Patricia (Gieffers) and Marty Knize, Sue (Gieffers) and Dwain Dyer, Nancy (Gieffers) and Bob Helme, Karen (Kane) and Todd Lesley, Craig and Angie Kane, Chris and Holly Kane, and Tony and Karen Kane. Dear first cousin to 19. Loving friend to many. Alum of Marist High School, Class of 2017. Proud member of Butler University Sigma Chi Fraternity.
Kevin was loved by his parents and siblings more than words could ever express. He will forever be the light and fun of the Kane Family. Gifted with the best wit, Kevin could make everyone laugh the second he entered the room. Kevin treasured great conversation and was the best listener to his parents, siblings, and friends. Conversation with Kevin was the best conversation you could have and because of his brilliant mind, often ended up in debating topics such as where a black hole ends or what makes a straw work. He had a quest for learning, a keen interest in trivia, and an obsession for geography and world culture. He was known for being the peacemaker and having the heart of a servant, always helpful to his family. We will always be a family of 7 and will forever be devastated by the loss of our beautiful Kevin. The world will never be the same. We are especially grateful to the brothers of Sigma Chi and their parents for the friendship and care given to Kevin during his years at Butler University. We are very grateful for the many expressions of love and care that our family has received during this difficult time.
