Eileen M. Lyman

Eileen Lyman, 84, of Oak Lawn, IL, passed away peacefully in her home on November 24, 2022, after a year’s long struggle with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. A life-long south sider, Eileen was the daughter of Charles and Rose (Dunne) Lyman. She graduated from Sacred Heart High School in Chicago and spent her entire career working for Illinois Bell/Ameritech. Eileen was a member of the St. Gerald Senior Club, Telephone Belles, Royal Queens Red Hat Society, STARS, Behind the Headlines, and the Pryme Tymers. Eileen is survived by her devoted cousins of the Byrne, Casey, Dunne, Lyman and McCurdy families and many loving friends. Among many of Eileen’s passions were the dogs she walked with in life, especially her last, Muffin.

Eileen’s viewing will take place at Thompson & Kuenster Funeral Home, 5570 W. 95th St. in Oak Lawn, Saturday, December 10, from 8:30 with prayers at 10:15 am. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 am at St. Gerald Catholic Church, 9310 S. 55th Court, Oak Lawn .
