Marvin "Bob" Aardema

Marvin R.  “Bob” Aardema, 90 years, U.S. Army Veteran, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Betty Jean nee Bergsma for 64 years. Cherished father of Bobette (Todd) Morgan &  Gaye (the late Mark) Shreve. Devoted grandfather of Betty Shreve, Bonnie Shreve, Beverly (Matt) Petrites, Katherine (Robert) Wunderle & Kristine (Logan) Lowder. Dear brother of the late Clara Smilde, Neil, Albert, David,  Julia Vander Meulen, Jeanette Praeger, Peter &  Raymond Aardema. Proud uncle & great uncle of many nieces & nephews.

Lying in State Saturday at Trinity Evangelical Covenant Church, 9230 S. Pulaski Ave in Oak Lawn from 10 am until the time of Services at 11 am.

Interment private at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.

Visitation Friday from 3 pm until 9 pm at Thompson & Kuenster Funeral Home, 5570 W. 95th St. in Oak Lawn.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Trinity Christian College, 6601 West College Drive, Palos Heights, IL 60463 would be greatly appreciated.
