Anna A. “Toni” Gallagher nee Dopkowski.

Beloved wife of Jim Gallagher for over 60 years.

Loving mother of Sean (Annie) Gallagher,  Kevin (Shawn) Gallagher, Brian (Jennifer) Gallagher, Thomas (Stephanie) Gallagher, & the late James (Michelle) Gallagher.

Cherished grandmother of 11 and great grandmother of 2.

Dear sister of the late Eddie & Liz Dopkowski, Joe & Verg Dopkowski, & Maryanne & Danny Roth.

Proud aunt of many nieces & nephews.

Funeral Tuesday, January 28th, 9:30 am from Thompson & Kuenster Funeral Home, 5570 W. 95th St. in Oak Lawn to Most Holy Redeemer Church, Evergreen Park, for Mass at 10:30 am.

Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

Visitation Monday, January 27th, from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm.

Anna “Toni” was born and raised in the back of the yard’s neighborhood on the South Side of Chicago and operated her beautician shop on 48th and Elizabeth. She raised her family in Brighton Park where she was a lunch lady and a faithful parishioner of Immaculate Conception Parish for 25 years. During her time in Brighton Park, she was a proud homeowner who loved gardening, which won her the Brighton Park Home Beautification Award. Toni owned and operated, with her family, the Tastee-Freez on 81st and Pulaski for many years. When she moved to Evergreen Park she became a parishioner with Most Holy Redeemer, where she worked with the Ministry of the Right of Christian Initiation of Adults, which helped others find their faith. She went on and cooked for the Sisters of Mercy. Outside of her many accomplishments, Toni was a person who did good by the people around her. She was a friend to many and loved by all.
