Robert B. Lanenga, Sr.

Robert B Lanenga Sr, 93, passed away in his sleep on March 7, 2024. Born in 1933 to parents Jack Lanenga and Clara Lanenga (Thimmel), and lived in the southwestern suburbs with his brothers Jack and Larry.

He spent a life well lived with his wife Elaine (neé Dubois, d. 2021), son Robert B Lanenga Jr, daughter-in-law, Cathryn A Lanenga, granddaughter Sarah Lanenga Howlett and spouse Dustin Howlett, and great-grandchild Dominick Howlett. He loved his time in the army as a paratrooper in the 82nd airborne division; and spent many years enjoying nature in fishing and hunting clubs. A lover of music, Robert played the accordion and loved to dance with his wife at the Elks club. A private memorial will be held by immediate family in his honor.
