Patricia Marie Nugent (nee Lally) born June 14, 1954; born into eternal life April 3, 2023.

She leaves behind her three children and their spouses Mary Pat & Tony Simulis, George & Deborah Nugent, and Theresa & Liam Dolan. Also, her extra daughter Betsy Overland (Fitzgibbons). Her 9 grandchildren. Sarah, Julia, Mary Kate, Colette, Jack, Martin, Josie, Anthony, & Olivia. Her other living family members that will be impacted by her absence are Her sister and brother-in-law Peggy and Donald Fitzgibbons; and her 3 brothers and sisters-in-laws Martin and Cindy Lally, John and Cindy Lally, and Mike and Dawn Lally. Also, her former husband George Nugent, his 4 sisters, Anna Hayes, Teresa & Deasun Hennessy, Mary & Joe Searson, and Eileen Nugent, and his 3 brothers Senan & Pat Nugent, Paddy & Anna Marie Nugent, and John Nugent. Patsy is also survived my many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. She was loved by all.
Patsy attended St. Rita Grammar school and Maria high school where she met her lifelong friends. She then got a job at Commonwealth Edison, where she made even more everlasting friendships. She loved her job and was very proud of her accomplishments through her 40 years of service. She involved herself in her children’s lives at St. Gerald grammar school where she got to know and love her children’s friends, and their parents who are still her best friends to this day.
Patsy loved camping, being at the lake, especially in Ludington. She loved the sunshine, riding her bike, swimming and traveling. She loved music, and sunsets. And she loved sweet cherry wine. Patsy loved most of all being a mom to her 3 kids. Patsy also had many honorary kids through the years, she welcomed her children’s friends into her home and made them feel like one of her own.
Patsy was a friend to many and there are so many people who refer to her as their Best friend, and all are correct. Patsy’s love was endless and had no limits. She was kind, made you feel safe and loved, and she gave the best advice. She could light up a room with her smile, and she had a contagious laugh.
Whether you knew her as a co-worker, coach, friend, sister, aunt, mom or simply Patsy – we are grateful you were part of her story.
