Florencia E. Butler
In remembrance of Florencia Elodia Butler (Muñeca) of Chicago, IL, who passed away on February 16th, 2023 at the age of 53. Florencia was loved by many and will be remembered by her large family and friends. Daughter of Irene Butler, preceded in death by James H. Butler. Survived by her partner, William (Bill) Ritter and loving sister Norma Butler-Juarez (Manny). Amazing and supportive Tia and Godmother to Sophia, Julian, and Aaron. Dog mom to Luna and dog aunt to Gibbs. Loving niece and cousin to many. Florencia spent over two decades as a dedicated educator at Harold Washington Elementary. She poured her heart and soul into all students that she taught. Some say that if it took a village to raise a child, her picture would have been in the book first.

Florencia era muy querida por muchas personas y será siempre recordada por su gran familia y amigos. Hija de Irene Butler, antecedida en muerte por James H. Butler. Le sobrevive su pareja, William (Bill) Ritter y su amada hermana Norma Butler-Juarez (Manny). Increíble y solidaria Tia y Madrina de Sophia, Julian y Aaron. La mamá de su perrita Luna, y tía del perrito Gibbs. Adorada sobrina y prima de muchos. Florencia dedicó más de dos décadas como maestra de la escuela Harold Washington. Ella dio todo su amor, esfuerzo y alma a todos sus estudiantes. Algunos dicen que si se tomaría un pueblo para criar a un niño, entonces su foto estaría en la primera plana. Recordando a un gran ser humano, les pedimos que la honremos vistiéndonos de su color favorito, el rojo, en el velorio.
