Joan Brandon Kresek

Joan Brandon Kresek passed away on September 22, 2023. She was born May 12, 1937 to Brenda and Ed Brandon in Chicago. She was an Oak Lawn resident for over 60 years. She was a professional secretary at IH/Navistar for 35 years, where she made many longtime friends. She was dedicated and diligent in her work and was known as an exceptional typist. After retirement in 1994, Joan was a tireless volunteer at Christ Hospital in the Emergency Room for over 20 years. She trained many volunteers including those seeking future medical careers. She enjoyed many things in life. Her dog, Duke, was a real favorite. Also trips to Las Vegas to visit her cousin, her Sunday movie outings, her craft work and lunches with her friends. Joan is survived by her nephews, cousins, dear friends and her former husband. Joan requested no services. Remembrances in her name may be made to a charity of your choice.
