It is with great sadness that the family of Edward T. Balesh, 68, of Chicago, IL, announce his passing on Sunday, February 20, 2022. He was born in Chicago, IL, on July 26, 1953. Edward graduated from Fenwick High School and went on to receive a Bachelor of Science from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

He received his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry from The College of Dentistry / University of Illinois at Chicago, specializing in Dental Surgery.

Edward took pride in running his private dental practice for over 40 years, in addition to teaching Dentistry. He had many hobbies and interests, ranging from Photography, Theater / Arts, Computer Science and Biking.

He was preceded in death by his father, Chiffie Balesh, and brother, Dr. Albert Balesh.

He will lovingly be remembered by his mother Samira Balesh, and his brothers and sisters: Louise (Dave), Carol (Assem), Robert, Philip and Rena.

Edward will also forever be remembered by his nieces Carina, Monica, Chelsea and Hana, as well as his dear friends.

Resting at Thompson & Kuenster Funeral Home, 5570 W. 95th St. in Oak Lawn where Services will take place Friday at 11:00 am.

Interment St. Mary Cemetery.

Visitation Thursday from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
