Norman Carl Christensen

Norman was born on July 10, 1939; the 3rd child of Martin and Anna Christensen. After graduating from Luther South HS in 1957 he started a long career at R&R Donnelley & Sons, Lakeside Press. Married to the beautiful Sandra Cook in 1960, they started a family, settled in Mt. Greenwood and had 3 children.

Norman lived a full and caring life. He faithfully served others through his leadership in the Danish Brotherhood, Lodge #35 and the Beverly Ridge Lions Club. He was always deeply committed to helping others & immensely proud of his family.

Norman is preceded in passing by his sister Esther, his parents and grandson, Jacob. He is survived by his wife Sandra, brother Martin, his children John (Rachel), Cathleen (Terrence Noonan), and Susan Thornton. His grandchildren: Elizabeth, Rachel, Caitlin, Taylor, Jennifer, Megan, Sean, Matthew, and Genevieve. His great-grandchildren: Jacob and Harlow.

Family will greet friends and neighbors Wednesday, at Thompson & Kuenster Funeral Home, 5570 W. 95th St. in Oak Lawn from 3:00 pm until the time of Service at 6:30 pm.
