Frank C. Gilbert, Sr.

Frank C. Gilbert Sr, U.S. Army Veteran. Frank started his career as a patrol officer in the Village of Oak Lawn advancing in rank throughout his career.  Retired Chief of Police in the Village of Oak Lawn Police Department, Retired Chief of Police for the Village of Worth, Graduate of the FBI National Academy class 119, Member of the National Association of Chiefs of Police.  Frank had many more accomplishments throughout his lifetime that was dedicated to the police sector. Once retired he enjoyed his outdoor hobbies of shooting at his gun club, fishing and walking his beloved dog Molly around his lifelong neighborhood to share stories with neighbors and friends. 

Beloved husband of the late Sandra V. Gilbert nee Steenbergen.

Loving father of Frank (Lucinda) Gilbert Jr, John (Kelli) Gilbert and Erica Staudt (Brian) Staudt.

Cherished grandfather of Frank Gilbert III (Miranda Larson), Gwennyth Staudt, Gianna Staudt, and Graycen Staudt

Dear brother of George (Patricia) Gilbert.

Proud uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Resting at Thompson & Kuenster Funeral Home, 5570 W. 95th St. in Oak Lawn where Services will take place Wednesday February 2 at 10:00 am.

 Interment following at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.

 Visitation Tuesday February 1, from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
