Sister Valery Heffner, R.S.M.

Sister Valery Heffner, RSM, cherished member of the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas for 76 years, professing first vows in 1947 and final profession in 1950. The span of her ministerial service included elementary and high school teaching; her fluency in Spanish led her to social services; ministry in senior housing, prison ministry, hospital pastoral care and in parish ministry.

A dear and devoted friend to Aileen Collura and Louise Barder Corzine. Preceded in death by her beloved parents, Leo and Viola.
