Anton A. Neu, 85, of Oak Lawn, passed away peacefully in his home Saturday, November 5, 2016, surrounded by his family. Tony is survived by his dear sister Ann (Jerome) Koch; loving children Linda Walrath, Deacon Andrew (Cindy) Neu, Michael (Lisa) Neu and Dr. Christopher (Laura) Neu; cherished grandchildren Jason, Amanda, Jenny, Dan, Katie, Anna, Kelsey, Maddy, Rylee and Charlie; adored great-grandchildren Emmeline and “lil’ Jack”; and cherished nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by parents Anton & Katherine; his beloved wife of 56 years, Carole Ann; devoted daughter Laurie (Garry Wright), and brothers-in-law Roy (Dianne) Appelgren and Jim Dougherty. Tony will be remembered for his wit, generous spirit, and the unwavering love he had for his family, a good Manhattan, and the daily Jumble. Funeral service Thursday, November 10, 8:30 a.m. at Thompson & Kuenster Funeral Home, 5570 W. 95th St., Oak Lawn, to St. Linus Church for Mass at 9:30 a.m. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
