The White Doves of peace and glory have come to lift up Irene C. Korosa (nee Zielinski) to her eternal mansion in Heaven. Irene was the beloved wife of the late John. Loving Mother and friend of Cheryl Lynn. Loving Mother to the late Richard and the late Ronald. Grandmother of 6, great-grandmother of 17 and great-great grandmother of 5. Irene was the sister of eight brothers and one sister. Aunt of many nieces and nephews.

She was a generous, kind-hearted Mother and friend. She will be loved and cared for by her King and Savior, Jesus Christ, along with her husband and sons.

Irene was the co-proprietor of Club Irene and The Cheryl Lynn Lounge with her husband John. They opened the doors of the Club Irene in November 1951 and the Cheryl Lynn Lounge in May 1961.

Irene and husband John were awarded the Frank Duda award in 1985 by The United Polka Association for their contribution to the polka music industry.

Irene was a member of The Women of the Moose, Polish National Alliance, The National Cleveland-Style Polka Hall Of Fame /American Slovenian Polka music Association, Stickney Township Seniors Club, KSKJ, the Saint Jude League and Association of the Miraculous Medal and past member of St. Albert The Great Seniors Club. She was Valedictorian of her high school class.

Funeral Thursday October 30, 8:45 am from Thompson & Kuenster, 5570 W. 95th Street St, Oak Lawn. To St. Albert the Great Church for mass at 9:30 am.

Interment Resurrection Cemetery
