Cherished grandfather of Griffin, Quinn, Lilly & Vivian.

Dear brother of Retired Honorable Donald (Freddie) Heck, & Leanne (Rev. Curtis) Rolfe.

Treasured uncle of many nieces & nephews.

Resting at Thompson & Kuenster Funeral Home, 5570 W. 95th St. Oak Lawn where services will take place Tuesday at 11:00 am.

Interment private.

Visitation Monday from 3 pm until 9 pm.

A Graduate of South Dakota Medical School and was Phi Betta Kappa before transferring to Northwestern University. Dr. Heck did his internship at Cook County Hospital and began his general practice on the Southwest side of Chicago. He was a member of the American Board of Family Physicians and was later elected Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Illinois Academy. He was a Professor of Family Practice at Rush Medical College.

Robert was a gifted musician and began his formal study at the age of 4. He sang bass with the Dorian Ensemble and played the Cello with the Southwest Symphony Orchestra. He and his wife Julie were members of the St. Xavier Chamber Orchestra. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Southwest Symphony Orchestra, 5164 W. 95th St., Oak Lawn, IL 60453 in Dr. Heck’s name would be greatly appreciated.
