Beloved son of the late Annette nee Schillinger & Paul Gumber.

Dear brother of Ann (the late Tom) Lynch, Joan (the late Rich) Dina, & the late Joseph (Sophie) Gumber, Catherine (Lester) Schaeffer & Paul & Eileen Gumber. Loving and devoted uncle, great uncle and second father to all of his many nieces & nephews and was fondly known as “Unk.”

Favorite cousin of many.

A treasured and genuine friend of all who knew him.

Funeral Saturday 8:30 am from Thompson & Kuenster Funeral Home, 5570 W. 95th St., Oak Lawn to St. Germaine Church for mass at 9:30 am.

Interment St. Mary Cemetery.

Visitation Friday from 3 pm until 9 pm.

Lifetime Member of Local 150 Operating Engineers and Retirement Club. He was the lead crane operator for Local 150 American Bridge.

He was responsible for and honored to raise the last beam for the topping out of the Sears Tower.
